WE VISITED DURING: January / Summer
WE STAYED IN: Luxury Family Tent, 3 nights
KIDS AGES: 5 and 8
PROS: The tent was block out, well positioned away from others, and located across the road from the playground.
CONS: The noise of powered boats and jet skis going all day long on the lake.
WILL VISIT AGAIN: Maybe
One of the best glamping tents available. This tent is an impressive properly built structure that are also block out, keeping the early sun out on those sleepy mornings.
A well equipped tent with a bunk in it's own room, a double bed in the main area shared with the dinning and lounge, a kitchenette with a full size fridge, air fryer and sink, and a private bathroom which was not yet built on our visit. There was also a full sized barbecue on a generous sized private deck.
The Luxury Family Tent is set up away from the other family tents and is well positioned to give you maximum privacy.
We made plenty of use of the playground which is well shaded in the morning but hot in the afternoon. Bike riding around the park is limited to the main road that wraps around the park and is not extensive. The lake itself is easy to get to, but there is very little shoreline which is not great for anyone with toddlers, and is often filled up by 8am.
However, the lake is largely enjoyed via boats and jet skis often blaring music that can be heard back at camp. This happens from early in the morning to late into the afternoon. So if serenity is what you're after, you may have to rethink this one.
We travelled into Harvey for a day hike and bike ride, then again on another day to visit the dam. We felt that 3 days was just enough.
They also offer chalet and campsite accommodation options. For more info visit https://www.lakebrockman.com.au/
